I’m a homebody at heart with a love of classic style; warm interiors and the kind of home that makes you want to curl up with a book and never leave. I’m not a designer or an expert at anything — just someone who cares about creating a beautiful, cozy life and isn’t afraid to take on a project.

My husband Jim and I are empty nesters living in Northern California with our two dogs, Pippa and Maggie, and our rescue cat Abby.

After completing a down-to-the-studs renovation of Snowberry, our beloved 1950s Cape Cod style home, we sold her and turned our attention to a long-held dream — building our forever home from the ground up. The Creekside Folly, as we’ve named the new house, is the culmination of a years-long search for the perfect downtown location in my hometown: within walking distance of restaurants, shops and our dogs happy place, the regional walking trail. We’re building a two-story modern cottage and I’m documenting every crazy, chaotic moment right here.
